Q&A med Sam Heughan

Who watched the @Outlander_STARZ season 4 finale?? Thoughts? Will do a QnA today 6pm (Pacific coast time) if you fancy it? Here we goooo! Richard Rankin. Can't wait. A. .... missed you Q. That one tear that hovered before falling. 💔Perfect take and superb acting Sam! How many takes were there for that? When Ian said he’d stay. A. Love this episode and emotional moment to say goodbye to Young Ian, practically his son! Proud of him and JB was awesome to play opposite.x Q. So, @SamHeughan and @RikRankin actually, you guys fought excellently. How long did it take to shoot that scene? Did you guys keep a straight face through it all? A. Tough scene, Richard brought a lot of emotion. So strong. In fact, everyone this season has had a lot to play. Not particularly one to mess around in. Was good to finally get a scene with him that didn’t involve me hitting him! Q. What one or two items would you liked to have stolen away to your trailer from season 4....for safe keeping?...

Come chat with me today at a time that I can't work out because I don't even know what day it is. But see below for details... Q. Do you love or hate @SamHeughan when he posts things like this? 😂😛 A. You can't beat a good bit of banter! It's always well intended fun. So... I mean... Yeah,. I hate @SamHeughan for posting this 😘 Q. Seeing you now in North Carolina I was wondering if any any of your family immigrated to the US and if you don't mind telling us what area did they settle? A. I'm not aware of any family that moved to the States. I remember always being slightly envious of friends who had though as they always seemed to be away visiting them on holidays. Q. Where were you and what were the first words you said when you learned you had been cast as #RogerMac A. I was filming #thirteen in Bristol, I believe. And I think after my agent called me to let me know, I fell asleep. Q. I haven’t read the books and a little behind on my episodes (I like to bing...

Writers Q&A EP 405 Savages

Bild
Hi everyone! We've got a bit of time this morning, so we're going to start answering some of your questions from Sunday's episode. Stay tuned! #ATOW #Outlander Q. Was Murtagh wearing his bit of tartan from Ardsmuir pinned to his chest for the Regulators meeting? A. Thank you! It was! Great addition by @OutlanderCostum Q. Why did you decide to revive Murtagh AND make him a Regulator? A. The decision was made back in season two because, well – everyone needs a Murtagh. It was challenging to integrate the character into the storylines, but we think we have something intriguing for you. You’ll just have to watch to find out😁 Q. Does the dog make it to the end of the season ? it’s stressing me out thinking he’s going to die. A. Don't stress. Rollo is fine 😄🐶 Q. The native Americans you casted did they agree with your writing and presenting them? Had they any influence while filming? Imho they are portrayed fabulously also thanks to @OutlanderCostum great designs but the ...

Twitter Q&A very shortly. Come join. Can I just request that you don't ask multiple questions so that I can get through as many people as possible. Don't be bloody greedy! 😉 Also, let's try and avoid spoilers, bookreaders. #AskRichardRankin #outlander #Q&ASAREAWESOME OK let's do this!! #AskRichardRankin #anythinggoesexceptspoilers #outlander #life Q. Do you think Roger should marry Fiona and fill the manse with baby Wakefields, stay in 1970s and run a safe B+B in Inverness??? A. Why Roger hasn't come to this conclusion already is beyond me. Maybe he still will?! We aren't even half way through the season yet and Brianna seems to have disappeared... Q. Do you think Roger should just find himself a Scottish lass? and save himself a hell of a lot of trouble or is Bree worth it all A. I see a pattern emerging...who says Scottish Lassies aren't going to cause just as much, if not more heartache for the man?! Q. Do you think playing Roger Mac in the 18th ...

Writers Q&A EP 403 The false bride

Bild
Happy Tuesday everyone! Answers to your #FalseBride questions are coming your way! #ATOW Q. Where did you get those vintage Dairy Queen cups and wrappers? A. The #Outlander Art department is the best! Q. How did you film the storm? The rain looked so real. A. It's one of the few times we’ve ever had to use a rain machine. Q. Did @RikRankin have prior guitar/singing experience? Such a lovely song at the gathering!! A. @RikRankin does know how to play, but he put in a lot of hard work for this scene. And we are biased -- but he was brilliant. Q. Why did Claire’s boots zip? A. She brought them from the future 😁. Q. Were wood figures burned at gatherings & who made the decision to use a giant stag? A. We chose the stag because it’s the emblem of the Frasers. We try to keep J&C alive even in scenes they aren’t in. Q. Why wasn't there a Q&A after #DoNoHarm? A. @mariadkennedy did an excellent one with @Outlander_STARZ . Unfortunately, we aren’t going to be able to do...

Bild
What did you all think? This season, 'Ask the Outlander Writers' any questions you have with #ATOW, and we'll answer them on Tuesday! #OutlanderPremiere Hello, everyone! We're here on voting day in America the Beautiful to answer some of your #ATOW questions from these last few days. Q. Was the voice-over of Ray Charles during such violence meant as a political statement, a foreshadowing, both or neither? A. Neither. Use of the song was planned from the beginning, long before we even knew our premiere date. Originally, it was supposed to be instrumental, but we didn't think it would be as recognizable. Q. Why did you remove the fact that land grants were only for protestants and that granting one to Jamie, a Catholic, was a huge thing the governor can hold over him when he wants something? A. In all of our research, we couldn't find anything that stated it was an issue for Catholics to own land. There were other things, such as holding office, that they were...

Writers Q&A EP 312 The Bakra

Bild
Writers Q&A EP 312 The Bakra The Bakra will see you now... Just kidding, behind the curtain are Toni G. & Luke S. answering your questions. Reminder: we'll be answering a variety of tweets that use the hashtag #OutlanderALN starting from this past Sunday's episode. Q. I really liked how the sapphire was worked into the prophecy. I also like the change to the prophecy. Why was the decision to change it made? A. We spent a lot of time thinking about Geillis’s plan – why did she need the Silkie Treasure right now? For us treasure and prophecy had to be linked. Q. I'm curious why the prophecy was changed? In both the book and the show prophecy, the same person is in danger, so why the decision to change it? A. The book prophecy says the last of the Lovat line will rule Scotland. That doesn’t mean they’re in danger, even if Geillis intends to find them. Q. Was it always the plan to show Ian after he was taken whether it was flashback or in real time? A. It became ou...
